Mother And Child is a three-part series from WUOT News that examines the ways in which prescription drug abuse is destroying that sacred bond.  Each piece is an individual profile of one East Tennessee woman who has experienced the problem up close. The programs air during Morning Edition and All Things Considered, October 1-3.

Among the guests were Webster Bailey, clinical outreach manager for Cornerstone of Recovery;  Amy Galyon, Program Director for the Blount County Drug Court; and Dr. Kip Wenger, medical director of the emergency room at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
